If the lockdown if implemented in the city to prevent the spread of Corona infection, the police are well prepared to implement the decision taken in this regard. In this backdrop, the commissioner of police discussed the matter with the DCPs and ACPs during a review meeting here on Saturday.

The Corona crisis is on the rise in the city for the past few days. The police administration has implemented the night curfew till March 8 to break the Coronavirus chain. Still, the residents are crowding at hotels and bars due to which the number of patients are on a rise.

Meanwhile, there was rumors in the city that lockdown will be imposed from Monday. CP, Dr Nikhil Gupta called a meeting of the senior officers in which DCP Nikesh Khatmode Patil, Deepak Girhe, Meena Makwana and all the five ACPs were present. Discussion on the possible lockdown, bandobast, number of employees and other issues was held during the meeting.

Meanwhile, in all, 2180 cases were filed against the residents during the last lockdown. Similarly, six policemen and nine employees from other government departments were attacked during this period.
