Police seek clarification about Remdesivir

Aurangabad, April 17:

The Pundliknagar police on Friday busted a gang for black marketing Remdesivir injections. The police in a letter to the district civil surgeon have now sought clarification from the district civil surgeon that who has the responsibility to maintain the stock of the Remdesivir injection and how it was brought out of the hospital.

Accused, Anil Asaram Bohate is a class four employee at the District Civil Hospital (DCH) and the other two accused are medical shop owners Mandar Anant Bhalerao and Abhijeet Namdeo Taur.

API G B Sonawane said, a letter has been given to the DCS Dr Sundar Kulkarni regarding the information about how the injection was brought out of the hospital and are any other employees are involved in it. Bhalerao confessed that Bohote had given him the injection to sell in the market and Taur is also involved in this racket. The police arrested all the three persons and are investigating whether any other persons are involved in this scam. How Bohote could managed to get the injection stolen from the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
