Aurangabad, Feb 25: The positivity rate of corona patients is found to be higher in the city than in the district. The positivity rate of the district is 12.3 per cent. But on the contrary, the city's positivity rate has gone up to 15 per cent. Concerns are also being raised as patients are being found in all areas of the city.

At present, about 2,000 citizens are being tested every day in the district. That includes 250 to 300 people from rural areas and 1700 to 1800 citizens from the city. The city's positivity rate was 15.42 per cent on Wednesday with 262 patients from the city and only 19 patients from rural areas. Shockingly, the city had a positivity rate of 4.50 per cent on February 6. But in just 18 days, the rate has gone up to 15 per cent.

Whole family testing positive

Patients are being found positive in all parts of the city. The number of whole family testing positive is also high. Therefore, experts say that those who go out for various work must take adequate care after going home.

District health officer Dr Sudhakar Shelke said that the positivity rate of the district is changing every day. It was 14.4 per cent on Tuesday and 12.3 per cent on Wednesday. Municipal health officer Dr Nita Padalkar said that at present patients are being found in various areas. The positivity rate is 15 per cent. Citizens must wear masks, adhere to social distancing, and wash their hands frequently.
