Remain alert to contain COVID spread: Padmashree Dr Tatyasaheb Lahane

Aurangabad, May 29:

“The whole world is fighting against COVID outbreak for the past 15 months. We are not that much alert event today about it. The world would be known as pre and post COVID hence after. So, there is a need to follow a three-point formula that is; wearing maks, avoiding crowded places and consulting doctors if you feel unwell,” said Padmashree Dr Tatyasaheb Lahane, director of Medical Education and Research.

He was speaking in an online lecture on ‘Changing Lifestyle in post-COVID Situation’ hosted by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) on Saturday.

Vice-chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole presided over the ceremony while Pro-VC Dr Shyam Shirsath, registrar Dr Jaishree Suryavanshi also graced the event.

Dr Tatyasaheb Lahane said there would be a reduction in 40 per cent of patients if people make a diagnosis on time.

“Today’s new normal life, we need to change lifestyle with wearing a mask and avoiding crowded place to reduce death ratio fast,” he added.

Deans Dr Walmik Sarwae, Dr Bhalchandra Waykar and Dr Chetna Sonkamble, Management Council members Dr Rajesh Karpe, Dr Phulchand Salampure, senator and legislator Rajesh Ratho, Dr Ram Chavan and Balasaheb Pawar were also present.

Sanjay Shinde conducted the proceedings of the programme.
