Sajag Mahila Sangharsh Samiti demonstrates against Hathras incident

The Sajag Mahila Sangharsh Samiti staged demonstrations near Gandhi Statue at Shahgunj on Friday evening to condemn the gang-rape and murder of a girl at Hathras in Uttar Pradesh. The demonstrators demanded stern action against the culprits.

The activists said that a concrete programme regarding the safety of women will be declared soon. The atrocities against women are on a rise while the deprived and labour class people are frequently being targeted which is a grave concern, opined Dr Renu Chavan, Mangal Khinvasara, Dr Rashmi Borikar, Subhash Lomte and others.

Freedom fighter, Tara Laddha, Dr Smita Avchar, Dr Benzeer Jadhav, Mukul Nikalje, Jyoti Nandedkar, Nandini Opalwar, Kalpana Rajpur, Sunita Jadhav, Kiran Sharma and others were present.
