Society should benefit from research: Dr Lokhande, two-day national workshop held at MGM varsity

Aurangabad, April 15: The researcher should be a good listener and his personality should have flexibility, creativity, and adaptability, said Chandrakant Lokhande (Research Director and Dean, Center for Interdisciplinary Studies, D Y Patil Education Society, Kolhapur). He was speaking at the two-day national workshop on Interdisciplinary Research: Frontiers and Opportunities in the Post-Covid World, organized by MGM University, College of Journalism and Mass Communication virtually in the presence of Dr Sudhir Gavhane (vice-chancellor, MGM University, Aurangabad), Dr Ashish Gadekar (registrar), Dr Rekha Shelke (dean, social sciences and humanities), recently.

Dr Lokhande guided on ‘Global Opportunities in Interdisciplinary Research’. Dr Uma Shankar Pandey spoke on How to Write a Research Paper. Dr Vinay Kumar spoke on ‘Where and How to Publish the Research Paper.’ Shilpa Kulkarni spoke on ‘Developing Online Research Profile’ and Pradeep Kumar Chahar on ‘Latest Statistical Software in Research.’

Dr. Lokhande gave brief information about research in the field of Nanotechnology and opined that society must benefit from research work. He explained how we can work as a researcher on interdisciplinary subjects. Dr Pandey said while writing our first research paper? there are many doubts in our mind which may lead to confusion. So, we have to think who do we impress through our research paper? He explained the Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion (IMRD) scheme.

Dr. Vinay Kumar explained research dissemination, quality benchmarks, and indices. Dr Shilpa Kulkarni resolved all doubts about developing the research profile. Dr Pradeep Kumar Chahar explained the top statistical tools that we need to make our data shine.

Dr Tanveer Ahemad, Kavita Soni, Divya Kamble, Zainab Minhaj anchored the workshop session-wise and Dr Asha Deshpande gave a vote of thanks.
