Special patrolling teams in city, 62 fixed points

Aurangabad, March 28:

The City Police are all prepared for the implementation of the lockdown decision in the city. The city police, state reserve police force and home guard will be deployed at the 62 fixed points. People wandering on the city roads during the lockdown without any work will be restricted.

The district administration has imposed the lockdown to restrict the spread of the Corona Virus. The police will be deployed at the fix points at the jurisdiction of the 17 police station in the city. Eight policemen will be deployed between 8 am and 8 pm at each fix point while four will be available during night.

There will be 7 fix points in the jurisdiction of City Chowk police station, 6 at Jinsi, five each at Cidco and Jawaharnagar, 4 each at Kranti Chowk, Waluj MIDC, Cidco MIDC and Begumpura, 3 each at Vedantnagar, Cantonment, Waluj, Daulatabad, Mukundwadi, Pundliknagar and Osmanpura, Two each at Harsul and Satara police stations jurisdiction. In all, 269 home guards have been appointed. Barricades will be put at the at all the fix points and strict action will be taken against those wandering on the roads unnecessarily. Similarly, 8 mobile teams have been established and it will patrol in the given areas along with two different motorcycle teams. 34 policemen will be deployed in these teams during day and 34 at night. The commissioner of police has directed the teams to take precaution to avert the incidents of thefts and house burgling.
