Aurangabad, Jan 23:

Dr Babasaheb Ambekdar Marathwada University (BAMU) will conduct spot round of admissions to M Phil's vacant seats on January 25.

It may be noted that the university conducted an online common entrance test (CET) for the admissions in 17 departments.

Each department has 20 seats. The M Phil course will be abolished from 2022. The university decided to continue for the current academic year since many researchers get scholarship and fellowship for the course. The seats are vacant in eight districts, so, spot admissions round will be held on January 25 based on merit and reservation. The departments' names are Marathi, Public Administration, Mathematics, Urdu, Library Science, Education, Physical Education and Journalism Department.

Deputy registrar Dr Digamber Netke said that 95 seats are vacant in the departments.
