Aurangabad, March 24:
The anti-corruption bureau (ACB) arrested the Deolai Saja talathi red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 3000 for making note on the 7/12 extract from the complainant on Wednesday afternoon. The accused has been identified as Bharat Dagdu Dutonde. Two days back, a tehsildar was arrested while accepting Rs 1.5 lakh bribe from a sand contractor. Now, the talathi has been arrested which has created chaos in the revenue department.
The complainant purchased a land at Deolai Saja and met Dutonde for making note in the 7/12 extract. He demanded Rs 4000 for making the note.
The ACB verified the complaint about the demand of the bribe. After, negotiation, Dutonde was ready to take Rs 3,000 from the complainant.
Accordingly, the ACB PI Sandeep Rajput, constable Arun Ugale, Deepak Pathak, Kevalsingh Ghusinge and driver Chagdev Baluj laid a trap at Deolai Saja office area and caught Dutonde red handed while accepting bribe. A case has been registered at the Chikalthana police station.
