Tanker owner ends life

Aurangabad, March 9:

A young owner of a water tanker has committed suicide by hanging himself in his house at Shivajinagar in Garkheda locality on Monday evening. Pundaliknagar police have registered a case of accidental death. The deceased have been identified as Manik Gangadhar Ghuge (33).

Ghuge was having a water tanker and was earning a livelihood by supplying water to customers on order. On Monday evening, he dropped his wife at one of his relative and returned home to Shivajinagar. Later on, he ended his life by hanging. When the neighbours came to know about it, they immediately alerted his wife and the police. The police with the help of citizens shifted Ghuge in an unconscious state to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for treatment, but the doctors at the casualty ward declared him dead on examination.

The reason behind the suicide has not been ascertained. Further investigation is on by head constable Sukhdev Kaware.
