Aurangabad, April 25:

Prathmik Shikshan Samiti demanded that the Education Department should extend the last date to fill data on Unified District Information on School Education (UDISE) and ‘Shala Siddhi’portals.

The last date for submission of information on ‘Shala Siddhi’was April 25, while for UDISE, it is May 15. However, schools were asked to upload information on UDISE up to the third week of April, even though the last date is May 15.

In a memorandum submitted to the education commissioner, the office-bearers of the Samiti stated that teachers were given various responsibilities in COVID condition in the State.

“The teachers were asked not to come together under ‘Break the Chain’ guidelines. Information on both portals cannot be filled in correctly until the subject teacher, class teachers and non-teaching staff gather at one place.

Those teachers on COVID duty cannot do even if they are willing,” they said. The teachers union demanded that the date for data filling should be extending considering the current situation.

The memorandum was signed by district president of the union Vijay Salkar, its general secretary Ranjit Rathod and Satish Koli.
