Technology Van to be dedicated to nation service on May 1

Aurangabad, April 28:

‘Technology Van’ of Science and Technology Hub of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) will be dedicated to the nation's service in a programme to be held on May 1.

Vice-chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole will dedicate the van which was developed under the project ‘Science, Technology and Innovation Hub’ for the empowerment of SC/ST Community sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology of the Central Government.

The university received Rs 2.62 crore fund for the project.

Around 273 villagers from Chikalthan in Kannad tehsil were given training on different skills.

The van will be dedicated to the nation after the flag hoisting ceremony on the campus.

Principal coordinators of the project Dr M D Shirsath and B W Gawali, will also grace the event. A total of eight villagers have become micro-entrepreneurs after the training.
