Thousand of students worried over delay in current session completion

Aurangabad, April 21:

The thousands of students of senior colleges were worried over the delay in the completion of the current session. It may be noted that the admission process of undergraduate courses including BA, B Com and B Sc, completed in November end and after online and offline classes, the examinations of the second and third year began from March 6 and first-year from April 6.

Generally, the first and second sessions examinations are completed in October-November March-April in an academic year.

However, the academic year 2020-21 commenced late, so the first session examinations were delayed. Thousands of students were hoping to finish their examinations on time and the next session would commence soon.

With the strict lockdown imposition, all the first session examinations were postponed until May first to contain the spread of COVID. This means even the first session completion too will be late. The students' community worried over their future of such a delay as they would not be able to do higher studies or any job. They feel that the Government should come solution like reducing the syllabus or promoting them in the next semester.

Commenting on this, a first-year student Sumair Khan said that there is much uncertainty about the completion of both the session and subsequent impact.

“The syllabus was completed anyhow by the college now examinations were postponed. It is worrying students like me. The Government should reduce the syllabus of next session at least,” he added. Kiran Shejule, a second-year student, feel that the situation has put them in confusion. “We cannot complete our session nor do the study of next session. It is a sheer loss of time. I think the Government should promote first and second-year students in next semester,” he added. The university officers told this newspaper that they cannot do anything as the situation is prevalent everywhere in the State.
