Three city police officers get President’s medals

Aurangabad, Jan 25: Three police officers of Aurangabad have been given the President’s Police Medals for their commendable services.They are PI M M Desai (caste certification verification committee), ASI Ramdas Gadekar (city police) and Jayram Dhanwai- Undangaonkar (state intelligence bureau). Desai, who detected sensational Ketan Parikh Rs 200 scam in Mumbai, at present is working in the Scheduled Tribe caste certification verification committee in Aurangabad since 2020. He holds more than 300 awards to his account and had given an impressive performance when he was posted in anti narcotic branch of the Mumbai police.

ASI Gadekar, who has already received DG insignia, is the only policeman of the Aurangabad police to receive the prestigious medal this year. Dhanwai joined the police force as a constable in 1989 and is remembered for his good performance in anti corruption bureau and in rural police.

All these cops will be felicitated during the flag hoisting ceremony to be held on the premises of the CP office on the Republic Day on Tuesday.
