Training of aspiring lady bus drivers resumes

Aurangabd, March 15:

The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has resumed female aspiring bus drivers training after eight months.

It may be noted that the MSRTC selected 32 women for the post of drivers for Aurangabad and Nashik divisions. Of them, six candidates were from Aurangabad division.

Their training began on February 3, 2020 in the city. They were to join the service after one year’s training. The training was halted on July 17, 2020, for a temporary period. No one was giving information about resuming the training.

Aspiring drivers feared that the selection may be cancelled their dream to become a driver in MSRTC would be shattered.

ST Mandal resumed the training recently. Divisional controller Arun Siya said that training of lady drivers was restarted. Its officer Balkrishna Chandanshive said that the participants were being training on traffic norms and driving vehicle.
