Two killed in accident on Dhule-Solapur highway, car rams into motorcycle near Pachod

Aurangabad, Feb 19: Two persons were killed after a speeding car rammed into their motorcycle at Murma Shivar near Pachod on Dhule-Solapur national highway at 9 am on Friday.

They have been identified as Mustafa Lalkhan Pathan (35) and Kaduba Nivruti Kashid (35, both residents of Dongaon in tehsil Ambad, District Jalna). They were construction labourers. Both were going to Pachod on a motorcycle on Friday to bring the blades needed to cut the floor for construction in the village when their motorcycle was hit by a car from behind. In the accident, both of them were tossed up in the air and fell on the road. Mustafa Pathan was killed on the spot while Kaduba was critically injured. Their motorcycle was also badly damaged in the accident.

Citizens of Murma and Kolibodkha informed Pachod police. API Atul Yerme, head constable Kishore Shinde, Feroze Barde, Narendra Andhare and Ayub Pathan rushed to the spot and rushed the injured to Pachod Rural Hospital. Medical officer Dr Shivaji Bhojane, Dr Babasaheb Ghuge, Dr Shakib Saudagar examined and declared Mustafa dead while Kaduba was referred to Aurangabad for further treatment as his condition was critical. However, he also died on the way. Both the bodies were handed over to their relatives. Pachod police have conducted a panchnama at the spot and arrested the driver and seized the car. The case has been registered in the Pachod police station.
