Vehicle-owners stuck in traffic for 20 minutes at Kranti Chowk; unable to take left

Aurangabad, July 6:

The traffic management on the Jalna Road, the main road of the city, seems to have been collapsed under the nose of the police. It was experienced on Tuesday afternoon.

It so happened that the vehicle-owners proceeding from Akashwani towards Gopal T Centre (and ahead) had to get stuck for 20 minutes, due to traffic congestion at Kranti Chowk today at 1 pm. Besides, the vehicle-owners also complained of experiencing traffic congestion on commercial streets in the old city since Monday.

There is a huge team of traffic police in the city. It may be noted that at any traffic signal, the police have to ensure that there are no obstructions to the vehicles desirous to take left. However, there was a large number of vehicles on the left side of the road on Tuesday afternoon. As a result, the vehicles desirous to take left towards Gopal T Centre and ahead had left with no option but to wait till the clearance of the vehicles for 15 to 20 minutes. Besides, many vehicles were seen jumping the signals as well. The traffic cop was present on the duty, but it seems that the situation was beyond his control. Many a time, it is spotted that the traffic cops form a group in one corner of the circle and manage the traffic from there.

Traffic in the old city

The vehicle-owners also underlined of facing traffic congestion on roads passing through commercial areas of the old city like Gulmandi, Shahgunj, City Chowk, Aurangpura, Chauraha, Raja Bazaar, etc on Monday and Tuesday. It is said that the shop-owners and the customers, both park their vehicles on these narrow routes. Hence the traffic congestion emerges on these roads. The negligence of cops towards the violation of traffic norms is pushing innocent vehicle-owners to suffer, it is grieved.
