Vigilant entrepreneur thwart an attempt of robbery

Four to five thieves broke into the bungalow trying to rob an entrepreneur living near Sainik Colony in Walmi area in the wee hours on Tuesday. Sensing the thieves, the entrepreneur''s family shouted for help. The thieves fled away after construction workers in the neighbourhood rushed for help. However, thieves broke into a nearby guest house and stole a camera.

Entrepreneur Hari Keshav Shenoy (Chennai) has been living in Aurangabad for the last twenty years. He works in manufacturing and consulting. He used to have a company in Waluj. Four to five robbers came to rob their house in the wee hours on Tuesday. Shenoy''s elderly parents live on the first floor of the bungalow, while his family on the second floor. The thieves smashed the main steel and wooden doors of the house with a tommy.

Shenoy woke up to the sound of the door breaking. As soon as the thieves entered the bungalow, they locked Shenoy''s parent''s room from the outside. Seeing this, Shenoy ran into his room and shouted for help and also called the police control room. Hearing the commotion, construction workers working on a nearby construction site rushed for help. The night patrol staff of Satara police station arrived at the scene. By then the thieves managed to run away.

The guest house of Solanum Network Seeds Company is located in front of Shenoy''s bungalow. The burglars broke the main door of the guest house and searched in all the rooms inside to locate any belongings. However, they found nothing. Eventually, the thieves stole a camera from the guest house.
