Waluj MIDC police arrest 2 weapon sellers

Aurangabad, March 6:

The Waluj MIDC police arrested two persons who brought country-made pistols and cartridges to sell at Waluj area on Saturday afternoon. The police have seized 5 country-made pistols, 28 cartridges and a motorcycle from them. The arrested have been identified as Sachin Murab Pawar (29, Ramgavhan Vasti, Ambad) and Sundar Bhausaheb Kale (19, Hivra Roshangaon, Jalna).

DCP, Nikesh Khatmode said, the Waluj MIDC polilce received the information that two persons are coming to sell weapons here. Under the guidance of PI Madhukar Sawant, API Gautam Wawale, ASI Qayyum Pathan, constable Prakash Gaikwad, Nawab Shaikh, Sudhir Sonawane, Vinod Pardeshi, Manmohan Kolimi, Avinash Dhage, Deepak Matlabe and others laid a trap at Kamgar Chowk in Waluj area. However, the accused then changed their place and went to a hotel where the police arrested them.

The police seized 5 country-made pistols, 28 cartridges and a motorcycle (MH 21, BR 0373), all amounting Rs 2,07,800 from them.

Meanwhile, CP, Dr Nikhil Gupta, DCP Nikesh Khatmode – Patil and ACP Vivek Saraf congratulated the Waluj MIDC for executing the action effectively. Dr Gupta announced a cash reward of Rs 15,000 for the police team.
