Weekly market hampers due to rain

Aurangabad, Oct 18:

The weekly market at Jafar Gate area closed due to Corona crisis started again after almost six and a half months, on Sunday. However, the heavy rain that lashed the city in the evening created chaos in the market. The vendors hurried to take their goods like clothes and vegetables in a covered space to save it from rain.

Several people throng to the weekly market at the Jafar Gate area on Sunday as the market was started after a long time due to lockdown. The government had closed all the weekly markets in the state to restrict the crowd. Now, after the relaxation in the lockdown rules, the weekly market was granted permission to start. On Sunday, the market began at around 9 am and the vendors occupied the market space completely by 11 am. Many of the traders were happy as the weekly markets are the only option for their trade. They earn weekly income in just one day.

However, heavy showers began from 5 pm onwards. Hence, there was a chaos in the market as the hawkers hurried to take their goods to a safe place.
