Woman duped of Rs 50K online on pretext of activating credit card

Aurangabad, April 21:

An online fraudster duped a woman of Rs 49,490 bluffing her of activating credit card. A case has been registered against the fraudster at the Jinsi police station.

Police said, a woman working in a newspaper received an unknown phone call. The man on the phone told her that he is an employee of the RBL Bank and he will activate Company and he will activate her credit card. He asked the details of the card to her and also the CCV number. Later, he asked her about two OTP numbers received on her phone. Later, she found that Rs 29,990 and again Rs 19,500, a total of Rs 49,490 were withdrawn from her account. Shen then lodged a complaint at the Jinsi police station.
