Youth arrested for submitting bogus documents in Army recruitment

A 25-year-old youth was arrested for allegedly submitting bogus documents for recruitment in the Army.

The Army Recruitment Board carries out recruitment rally every year. The youth, Atul Ramsingh Solunke (Dahegaon ,Kannad), had an aim to join the Army and was doing preparations for the past five years. He participated in the recruitment process in 2016 and submitted SSC certificate which had his birthdate as May 27, 1994. But, he was not selected. He continued his efforts to join the Army.

He passed written and field tests a few months ago. He was asked to submit his educational documents. He submitted different documents, including SSC certificate. The certificate has a birthdate as December 27, 1999. The officers found that the documents belong to the same candidates, but, have a different date of birth.

It is learnt that he did this for age fudging. Col Tarunsingh Bhagwansingh Jamwal lodged a complaint with Cantonment Police Station against the youth. Police arrested him. PSI Sachin Wayal is on the case.
