Youth carrying mephedrone drug arrested

Aurangabad, July 2:

The commissioner of police special squad arrested a drug peddler for carrying mephedrone drugs to sell in the city, on Railway Station Road near Karnapura ground at wee hours on Friday. The police seized mephedrone powder amounting Rs 26,000, a mobile phone amounting Rs 90,000 and cash Rs 450 from him. The arrested has been identified as Junaid Khan Javed Khan (25, Bari Colony).

The youths were addicted to the mephedrone drugs in the city. The drug was transported in the city and provided to the addicts. API of the special squad, Rahul Rode executed action on the mephedrone smugglers in the past few days. The commissioner of police received the information that the drugs are being smuggled in the city. Accordingly, the special squad including Rode, Syed Shakeel, Imran Pathan, A R Kharat, M B Vikhankar, Vijay Nikam, Vitthal Aade, driver V S Pawar, forensic department inspector Vaibhav Ghadge, Madhuri Kharat laid a trap on Station Road and arrested Junaid. He was searched before the panch and found 6.73 grams mephedrone power amounting Rs 26,000, mobile phone and Rs 450, all amounting Rs 1,16,450 with him. A case has been registered at the Cantonment police station.
