ZP school headmistress suspended

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zilla Parishad (ZP) Dr Mangesh Gondavale suspended the headmistress of Adgaon Sarak Zilla Parishad School in Aurangabad tehsil on Tuesday.

The ZP administration had received many complaints against the headmistress. So, a probe committee led by an education extension officer was initiated against her. Based on the probe report, the action was taken against her.
Dr Mangesh Gondavale issued suspension orders of ZP School headmistress Vidya Ramsingh Jadhav on September 22.
In the orders, it was stated that when the education extension officer visited the school, the headmistress was not found in the school. Because of this, school recorders were not verified.
“School management committee was set up. Yet, she had financial dealings with four to five months old committee president. Irregularities were seen in school uniform distribution and mid-day meal scheme.
The administration had received complaints like demanding money for giving permission to change the school. She had threatened ZP members of lodging criminal cases,” this was said in the orders.
After verifying the complaints, Vidya Jadhav was suspended.
This is not the first time. Earlier too, when the divisional commissioner visited the school at Jatwada, her irregularities were seen in the working. “Even after her transfer, she did not mend her ways,” the report said.
