India batted their longest (in terms of balls) - 131 overs - in the fourth innings of a Test match to draw the 3rd test at Sydney. Rishabh Pant and Cheteshwar Pujara slammed fighting half centuries which allowed to fight till the end. Vihari braved a hamstring injury and played one of the slowest innings in the history of Indian cricket to stay not out at 23 off 161 balls while Ashwin battled a barrage of short balls, took a few blows on the body to remain unbeaten on 39(128). India finished with 334/5. Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin gave it back to Australian captain Tim Paine, who was trying to bring a lapse in his concentration.
In a clip of the banter between the duo that has now gone viral on social media, Paine can be heard telling Ashwin: "Can't wait to get you to the Gabba, Ash," - referring to India's reluctance to travel to Brisbane for the fourth Test due to the hard quarantine rules in the city.Ashwin came up with a witty yet savage response for Paine and said he is waiting for the wicket-keeper batsman to come to India and that might be his final Test series. "Just like we wanna get you to India, may be your last series." The four-match series still stands level at 1-1 after three games are done and dusted. The final Test will be played in Brisbane from January 15th.
