Former Australia coach and two - time World Cup winner, Darren Lehmann will undergo a major heart surgery after he complained of chest pains on his 50th birthday. Lehmann is said to have suffered chest pains while he was on the Gold Coast to watch his son's cricket match. He was resting in a Brisbane hospital on Wednesday and will undergo heart bypass surgery on Saturday, Cricket Australia said. 

“I would like to thank everyone in the Australian cricket family for their concern,“I am receiving the best of medical care and am confident I’ll be back on my feet soon said Lehmann. The former all-rounder, is currently coach of  Brisbane Heat in Australia's Big Bash T20 league. He is also all set to coach the Northern Supercharges in the new Hundred competition during the English season.  Lehmann who coached Australia to the 2015 World Cup win quit last year amidst the sand paper controversy.
