An inspired  batting performance by the Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman powered the men in red to a mammoth 204 after 20 overs. It looked like Maxwell all the way but AB stole the thunder in the last five overs. KKR leak 70 runs and a large chunk of it coming from ABD's willow.  At 9/2, RCB were in a spot of bother but Maxwell and Devdutt Paddikal stitched a crucial partnership to stem the flow of wickets at one end. They managed to halt the run-flow to an extent after DDP's dismissal, but Maxwell and de Villiers went bonkers at the death.

RCB have never won their first 3 matches in an IPL season and today they have an great opportunity to stay on top of the table with 6 points.  Andre Russell looked deflated after AB's onslaught. The last over began with a powerful straight drive for four followed by a six over deep square leg. Russell went cross seam but ABD sent the widish delivery over short third man fielder for another four. And a full yorker followed as Russell hoped to keep the batter quiet off the final delivery but there was no stopping ABD who blasted another four. He finished unbeaten on 76 off 34 with nine fours and three sixes. Varun Chakravarthy took  two early wickets for KKR, and Prasidh Krishna, Pat Cummins have registered a dismissal each. Virat Kohli's side are currently in an unbeaten run, and are without Dan Christian for the fixture. He has been replaced by Rajat Patidar. Meanwhile, KKR don't have any team changes
