Former Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza has been tested positive with novel coronavirus. Nafees Iqbal, former Bangladesh cricketer and elder brother of ODI captain Tamim Iqbal, too, has tested positive for coronavirus. Nafees is currently in home isolation in Chittagong. Last week, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi had tested positive.

He reportedly has been unwell for the last couple of days and got tested on Friday and  is currently in isolation at home. "Bhaia (brother) has been suffering from fever for two days. Covid-19 test was conducted on Friday and we got the result today. He has been found positive for the virus. Bhaia is now staying in isolation at home in Dhaka. Please pray for him," Mortaza's younger brother Morsalin Bin Mortaza told United News of Bangladesh. Mortaza is the second high profile cricketer from Asia to be infected by the virus in recent times.

Mortaza posted about testing positive on his Facebook page on Saturday evening local time saying: "Today my Covid-19 results came as positive. Everyone please pray for my quick recovery. The number of infected has now crossed one lakh. We all have to become more careful. Let's all stay at home, and not get out unless it is necessary. I am abiding by the protocol at home. Rather than panic, we need to raise awareness about corona." Check out the former skipper's Facebook post here....
