England leg spinner Adil Rashid has signed a one-year contract with Yorkshire as  a part of his preparations for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Rashid whose primary focus is white ball cricket off late has suffered a lot of injuries which has affected his performance. The 32-year old has not participated in County Championships since 2017. Rashid who is not a part of ECB's red-ball plans last played a test for England a year ago against the West Indies. However, he still remains a integral part of England's one day and T20 squad. 

Speaking about the recent development Rashid was quoted as saying to the Yorkshire website, "I have decided to concentrate on white-ball cricket this summer in the lead up to the T20 World Cup," said Rashid to Yorkshire cricket county's website. "Due to an ongoing shoulder injury, it is important for me to manage my workload to give me the best chance of remaining fit." Meanwhile, Martyn Moxon, Yorkshire's director of cricket welcomed Adil decision to be available for Yorkshire in the Blast this coming season.
