Cricket is one of the most widely watched sports in the entire world and it was once again evident when a newly married Pakistani couple was busy following the second T20 game between Australia and Pakistan on television.
The image quickly garnered much attention from ICC, and Aaron Finch and has since gone viral for all the right reasons. The groom who has been identified a as Hasan Tasleem says, “Over the years residing in North America I’ve stayed up at all sorts of odd hours of night to catch Team Pakistan play. “Even though it was my wedding night, I wasn’t going to miss this game.” In a letter to the ICC, the fan described his love for the Pakistan national team and cricket as a game. Skipper Finch also replied to the tweet and wrote a sweet message for the couple.
Unfortunately, for the couple who where supporting the Green Brigade the end seemed disappointing as their team lost to the Aussies by seven wickets. Former skipper Steve Smith was adjudged Man of the Match for his unbeaten 51 - ball 80. The third and the final T20 between the two teams is scheduled to be held on Friday.
