Bangladesh cricketer Saif Hassan ended his India tour on a sad note after he had to pay a penalty of a certain sum before being allowed to fly home on Wednesday evening. The youngster was left stranded in Kolkata after his Indian visa expired on Sunday. Hassan went to board the plane on Monday but his six-month visa expired a day before on November 24th.

The first batch of Bangladesh cricketers returned to Dhaka on Sunday, hours after they suffered an innings defeat to India in the historic pink-ball Test match at Eden Gardens. However, few others including Hassan walked into the airport to catch the flight to Dhaka on Monday morning. The authorities noticed that the visa was valid only till Sunday midnight and was not allowed to board the flight. Speaking about the entire episode, Hassan said, My visa expired the visa was valid till the 24th but I was departing on the 25th, I will return home tomorrow.'' The uncapped opener was ruled out of the historic test after he split his webbing during the first test in Indore while fielding as a subsitute in Indore.
