Chris Green has signed a six-year deal with the Sydney Thunders surpassing the five-year deal that Chris Lynn signed with Brisbane Heat in 2017. Green who plys his trade in different T20 leagues has featured in PSL, CPL, and is part of the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 tornament. Green a crafty left-handed batsman is a ferocious hitter of the ball lower down the order and is a handy spinner who has 31 wickets in his kitty at an economy rate of 7.05.

Speaking about the historic signing Green said, “Thunder was the first team that backed me when I was playing grade cricket, so to lock in my future with the club is really exciting,” “It’s not often you have security, so for me to get that with a club that I love, I’m really excited and very grateful for this opportunity to continue to represent Thunder into the future.”

Chris is eyeing to be part of the Australia's T20 World Cup Squad which will be held Down Under in 2020 and  Cricket Australia has backed the youngster to claim a spot in the side. Green feels backing of the board acts as a great confidence booster as he bids for a place in the national squad by performing well at T20 tournaments abroad.
