Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali has been ruled out of the Test series against Sri Lanka next month due to rib fracture. The news was confirmed by the Pakistan Cricket Board on Friday. The lanky pacer was all set to participate in the ninth round of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy for Central Punjab against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa last week. Initial scans revealed critical rib damage which will take atleast six weeks to heal. Hasan has been away from the game for quite some time now.
The pacer last played an international game for Pakistan against India during the Cricket World Cup in England. Pakistan, who are currently playing Tests against Australia will be hosting Sri Lanka for the first time in ten years in the longest format of the game. The first Test is scheduled to begin in Rawalpindi on December 11.
