Former all-rounder Jacques Kallis has been named South Africa's new batting consultant with immediate effect. Kallis will join the squad for their camp starting in Pretoria for the home test series against England. The appointment is seen as a part of the sweeping changes at CSA on the wake of faultered administration. In the past few weeks the cricket South Africa witnessed the return of two of their greatest cricketers as head coach and director of cricket. Meanwhile, former pace bowler Charl Langeveldt will return from Bangladesh and take charge of the South African national team as their new bowling coach.
Langeveldt was released by Bangladesh Cricket Board following a request from Cricket South Africa. "I can confirm that we have received a formal request for his release. We value our strong cricketing relationship with CSA. We have also taken into consideration that he was a South African international cricketer and we understand his reasons for wanting to work with his own team. The Board has decided to release him with immediate effect," BCB CEO, Nizam uddin Chowdhury said.
