Bangladesh wicket-keeper Mushfiqur Rahim has withdrawn his name from the cash-rich Indian Premier League 2020 season after the 32-year old opted out of the upcoming auction. The former skipper was part of the auction list twice but went unsold both the times in spite of having a lower base price. The December 19th mini auction will feature six Bangladesh players which includes the likes of Tamim Iqbal, Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed.

Mushfiqur will now be playing for the Khulna Tigers in the BPL which is scheduled to be held on December 11. Over the years only a few players have been part of the IPL with the notable name being Shakib. However, Shakib won't be part of the tournament this year as he has been banned by ICC after he failed to report corrupt approaches. Shakib was part of Sunrisers Hyderabad team but was released by the management. Mashrafe Mortaza, Mohammad Ashraful, and Abdul Razzak are the few ones who have been part of IPL before.
