The oldest player in IPL history Pravin Tambe who was bagged by Kolkata Knight Riders has been suspended from IPL 2020 for participating in the T10 league in UAE. The leg spinner was snapped for a base price of 20 Lakh in the auction last year. IPL chairman Brijesh Patel has already conveyed the message to KKR about Tambe being disqualified for the upcoming season. " "He (Tambe) wont be allowed to play IPL,” Patel told a leading news portal.

"He (Tambe) won’t be allowed other wise we have to allow everyone. The board only allow players to play in one day, three day, four day and county cricket and each player has to seek BCCI and respective state association’s no-objection certificate." The 48-year-old played in the T10 League in 2018. KKR is Tambe's third IPL franchise having previously played for Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Lions. The 13th edition of the cash-rich league will commence on March 29 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In the opening encounter Chennai Super Kings will be locking horns with defending champions Mumbai Indians.
