2008 IPL champions, Rajasthan Royals have appointed Shane Warne as the mentor and the brand ambassador for IPL 2020. Warne will work alongside Rajasthan Royals head coach and former Victoria teammate Andrew McDonald.Warne's trip to UAE will see him working with Royals' management team to strengthen their international fanbase and wow the Royals' existing and potential sponsors with his exceptional cricketing knowledge and foresight.The former Australia great will also be campaigning for the ethos of Royals' philanthropic initiatives focussed towards a woman-empowered culture with the Royal Rajasthan Foundation, the CSR arm of the franchise. Warne has been associated with IPL since its inception in 2008 and led the team to its only title triumph in that inaugural year.

The Rajasthan Royals took to their social media handle and posted a short video of Shane Warne as he joins the squad as a Mentor, as a Ambassador for upcoming IPL 2020 tournament. The Royals this season will be captained by Steve Smith, who is expected to arrive along with other Australian and England players involved in the IPL in a chartered jet soon after the conclusion of the ODI series on September 16.
