Royal Challengers Bangalore have won the toss and have opted to field in their first game of the season against Punjab Kings. For RCB, AB and Maxwell, the two overseas stars have played some aggressive cricket and Paddikal giving Bangalore those quick starts has released some pressure off Virat Kohli. Although Virat is yet to play his best knock of the season, things look pretty much under control for the Challengers.

The Punjab Kings have been inconsistent throughout the season with the team still struggling to find the right combination. For Punjab, three changes: Moises, Arshdeep & Mayank miss out, and for RCB, Shahbaz Ahmed in for Washington Sundar. Punjab are looking to jump back to winning ways, and will be a difficult task to stop the in form RCB boys. Last year, Rahul was at his very best as he blew RCB away single-handedly with his century knock.

Punjab Kings (Playing XI): KL Rahul(w/c), Chris Gayle, Deepak Hooda, Nicholas Pooran, Prabhsimran Singh, Shahrukh Khan, Chris Jordan, Harpreet Brar, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohammed Shami, Riley Meredith

Royal Challengers Bangalore (Playing XI): Virat Kohli(c), Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell, AB de Villiers(w), Shahbaz Ahmed, Daniel Sams, Kyle Jamieson, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal
