Team India were dealt with a crucial blow as opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of the upcoming T20 series against West Indies. The Delhi batsman has been replaced by Kerala wicket-keeper Sanju Samson. Dhawan suffered a deep cut on his left knee during a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy game for Delhi against Maharashtra in Surat. Samson was part of the squad against Bangladesh for the T20s but was dropped after having not played even one of the games against the Asian tigers in the recently concluded series.

There was a lot of hue and cry on social media by fans and cricketers a few weeks ago after the selectors dropped Sanju for the series against West Indies despite not getting an opportunity to prove his credentials. The announcement about Sanju being a part of the squad was announced by BCCI on the official Twitter handle. Check out the Tweet here....
