Andrew Tye, the Rajasthan Royals fast bowler, flew back to Australia on Sunday due to personal reasons. Now the Aussie paceman while, speaking  to the Australian radio station SEN,on Monday (April 26),Tye cited the 'stress of staying in the bio-bubbles' and the imminent closing of Australian borders as the reason for his decision to end participation in the ongoing 2021 season of the IPL."I just thought I should try and get on the front foot and get home before I got locked out of the country," Tye said. "I think I've had 11 days at home and out of the bubble since August. There's definitely concerns," he added. "A lot of guys have been in touch today once they realised I was leaving. Some of the guys are very interested in what route I took home and how I approached it. I'm not sure if I'll be the only one (returning), but that's too early for me to say," he concluded.

Tye, the Purple Cap winner from IPL 2018, hadn't featured in any of the Royals' five games so far. He played only once last season, conceding 50 from his quota of four overs. After, Tye's exit, Royal Challengers Bangalore bowlers Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson also decided  to withdraw from the remainder of the ongoing IPL citing personal reasons on Monday. “Adam Zampa & Kane Richardson are returning to Australia for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the remainder of IPL season. Royal Challengers Bangalore offers complete support to them in all the possible way we can,” RCB said in a statement. While leg-spinner Zampa was bought for Rs 1.5 crore, RCB spent Rs 4 crore to buy pacer Richardson at the players’ auction. Getting out of India is becoming tougher by the day with many countries imposing a travel ban, including the UK and New Zealand. Australia has also reduced flights by 30 per cent and there could be more restrictions with India reporting more than 3 lakh cases per day over the past one week. There are as many as 17 Australian cricketers featuring in the IPL including big names such as Pat Cummins, David Warner, Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell, besides coaches and support staff like Ricky Ponting and David Hussey.
