England cricketer Stuart Broad has announced his engagement with singer and long-time girlfriend Mollie King. The duo has been dating since eight years with certain reports stating that the couple had parted ways in 2018. The two cherished the romantic moment with a steamy lip-lock. In the meantime, Broad captioned the picture and wrote, “The best way to start 2021,” The likes of Michael Vaughan, Chris Woakes, Darren Gough among others, congratulated the couple on social media.
Broad was recently nominated for the Sports Personality of the Year, but he lost the race to Sir Lewis Hamilton, the Formula 1 star. A key member of England's test team, Broad has scalped 514 wickets in 143 tests. He has 18 five-wicket hauls and three four-wicket hauls to his name as well. The left-handed batter has 3335 Test runs with one century and 13 fifties with a top score of 169. Broad hasn’t played a single T20I for the Three Lions since 2014, yet, with 65 wickets, he is second in the list of highest wicket-takers for the Brits in the shortest format.
