Ajay Devgn's Tanhaji to become the first film of 2020 to touch 100 crore mark?

Ajay Devgn's latest release Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior has turned out to be a big success at the box-office. The period drama which is nearing the 100-crore mark has managed to give a tough competition to Deepika Padukone's Chhapaak which had released along with it. According to a report in Times of India, the film stands around Rs 90 crore approximately the film has had a 20% growth from its Monday collections, 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' is all set to become Ajay's SIXTH film to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in the domestic circuit.

The Om Raut directorial is all set to join the likes of 'Golmaal Again', 'Total Dhamaal', 'Singham Returns', 'Golmaal 3' and 'Bol Bachchan' as 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' which is expected to cross the Rs 100 crore mark by the end of its first week. The film will thereby become the first movie of 2020 to touch the three figure mark. In addition to this the film has been declared tax-free in Uttar Pradesh. Ajay expressed his gratitude to CM Yogi Adityanath for this noble gesture. The film which is made on a budget of 150 crore is based on the life of Maratha Empire's military leader Tanhaji Malusare.
