Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi’to become the first Bollywood film to commence shooting in Unlock 1.0

As India steps into the coronavirus lockdown 5.0 with relaxed restricitions with film shoots to be commenced soon  Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ is likely to be the first film which will go on floors after months all entertainment activities were shut. The state government issued a 16-page long set of guidelines for producers to follow as and when they begin film and television production. The guidelines include maintaining 33 per cent crew (which will not include the main cast) on set, all staff members to carry identification cards and Aarogya Setu app downloaded on their compatible devices.

Meanwhile, no marriage sequence or market fight scenes will be permitted till the coronavirus threat subsides. Reportedly, the CM had been in touch with the producers, broadcasters and trade bodies from across industries. Balaji Films head honcho Ekta Kapoor thanked Uddhav Thackeray for allowing shoots to resume in a phased manner. Meanwhile, this will be the first film of actress Alia Bhatt with the filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film Gangubai Kathiawadi is based on the life of one of the then Bombay’s brothel keeper who life has been written about in Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens Of Mumbai.
