About the appreciation Ankita has been getting for her role in Veer Savarkar, she said: "An actor works really hard to reach the silver screen, I started my journey from television and now to see myself on the big screens and get so much appreciation, I feel grateful. I have always said that I am what I am today because of my audience and the media. They have always supported me unconditionally. To play the role where I had to portray the life journey from 16 years to 60 years, as a performer I was very happy that I got to play that role. Not many actors get a chance to play a role like this. So, I got this role, and I played it with full dedication."
