The makers of 'Chhapaak recently released the much-awaited trailer of the film which is slated to hit theatres on 10th January 2020.

B-town celebs applaud Deepika Padukone's Chhapaak trailer

The makers of 'Chhapaak recently released the much-awaited trailer of the film which is slated to hit theatres on 10th January 2020. The 2 minute 19 second trailer highlights the traumatic ordeal of acid attack victim Malti and her crusade against acid attack survivors. The trailer received positive response on social media with many of them hailing Deepika's character as one of her best till date. 

Many celebrities also took to their social media to share their reaction. Among the notable ones who praised Deepika's role were Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The Raazi stars,  wrote,  "Uff!! very very moving! You girls are special!! while Vicky Kaushal shared the applauding emojis. Later, DP reposted both the stories and thanked Aloo B and Vik for their wishes. The film also marks Deepika's debut as a producer. Meanwhile, Aamir, who is currently busy shooting for Laal Singh Chaddha in Chandigarh, took to Twitter to react to the trailer. Apart from appreciating it, he called Meghna Gulzar's directorial venture Chhapaak, "an important movie" and also congratulated the entire team of the film.

Actress Yami Gautam also heaped praised and was bowled over by the trailer which was released yesterday. Sharing Deepika's poster, Yami wrote, "A story that must be told! A journey that must be shared! Deepika, kudos to you for inspiring with such powerful cinema! It broke my heart, yet made me smile with you! Can’t wait for it #CHHAPAAK.
