A day after actress Bharti Singh and husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa were sent into judicial custody by anti-drugs agency Narcotics Control Bureau speculatons are rife that Haarsh has been charged for financing drugs. However, as per a Pinkvilla report, Haarsh has been charged for consumption of drugs, under 27 of NDPS Act. If proven guilty, the couple could face a punishment of one-year imprisonment or Rs 10,000 fine. On being asked about other TV celebs being under the same scanner simultaneously, NCB Zonal officer Sameer Wankhede discloses, "It could be part of the investigation but we are a very professional agency and don't go hearsay having said nothing can be ruled out.".
As for Bharti and Haarsh, it was reported that they will remain in judicial custody for 14 days. However, we now hear that the couple has moved to a court, seeking bail. Bharti and Haarsh's bail plea hearing takes place today. For the unversed, The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had raided the production house and residence of the television couple on Saturday (November 21) and found '86.5 grams of ganja'. Bharti and Haarsh were later taken for interrogation where they admitted to the consumption of ganja. A magistrate's court on Sunday sent comedian Bharti Singh and writer husband to judicial custody till December 4. Bharti is popularly known for her comedy stints in ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. She has also participated in several reality shows including ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’, ‘Nach Baliye’, and others. Bharti Singh got married to Haarsh Limabchiyaa on December 3, 2017, and the couple is currently hosting ‘India’s Best Dancer’ on Sony TV.
