CBI to investigate June 13 party angle in Sushant's case after claims of Rhea meeting the late actor surfaces

The CBI is likely to probe the alleged party held on June 13, a day before Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra residence, Republic TV reported.BJP Mumbai Secretary Advocate Vivekanand Gupta had earlier claimed that Rhea Chakraborty had met the late actor in the intervening night between June 13 and 14 at Sushant’s residence after an alleged party of an influential person. Sushant had even dropped Rhea back home around 3 am. The new channel further said that the CBI is likely to take a decision on whether to add Section 302 (murder charge) on Saturday after going through the case file.  On the other hand, the CBI is reportedly all set to begin its second phase of investigation in connection with the matter.

Moreover, Sushant’s flatmate Siddharth Pithani is likely to turn a witness and is summoned by the agency to record his statement on Tuesday. The 34-year old movie star was found dead on June 14 in his Mumbai apartment. Though the Mumbai police, based on the autopsy, called it a suicide, wild speculation and campaigns of justice on social media and allegations from Sushant Singh Rajput's family raised doubts that became a part of an overall CBI investigation. Sushant Singh Rajput's family and some friends had raised questions about how he died. The CBI investigation began after the family filed a case accusing the actor's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty of mentally harassing him, medicating him, exploiting him for money and playing a role in his death. Last week, the family's lawyer Vikas Singh had claimed to have been told by a doctor on the AIIMS panel that Sushant Singh had been strangled.
