Bengaluru Police raided actor Vivek Oberoi’s Mumbai residence on Thursday in connection with the sandalwood drug scandal probe. As per a India Today report, , two inspectors from CCB Bengaluru began the raids at Vivek Oberoi’s house around 1 pm. The raids were conducted over his ties with Aditya Alva, who is absconding and is being probed in the drugs scandal case.

Bangalore additional commissioner said, "Aditya Alva is absconding. Vivek Oberoi is his relative and we had information that Alva is present there. So we wanted to check, a court warrant was obtained and the CCB team has gone to his house in Mumbai. "The Bengaluru Police official also said that they were assisted by the local police in Mumbai. The official further said, "Also, he may know his whereabouts. So this action was taken. Raid is still going on. "So far, actors Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani have been arrested in the case.
