Cricketer Jonty Rhodes praises Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's Gully Boy

Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy was one of the best films of 2019 the songs, screenplay, and the acting from the leading cast won everyone's heart. The movie which was a commercial success at the box-office has now impressed former cricketer Jonty Rhodes. Yes, the former proteas batsman took to Twitter to praise the film and the songs. Taking to his Twitter the South African legend wrote, Been listening to the #GullyBoy soundtrack ever since meeting @SiddhantChturvD last year at an event, finally got to watch the entire movie on my @emirates to India last night. Thanks to subtitles, I laughed; cried and had goosebumps @RanveerOfficial @aliaa08@kalkikanmani.”  

Soon after, Siddhanth Chaturvedi aka M C Sher replied to Rodes tweet and thanked him for his kind words.Speaking about the film, Gully Boy was based on the life of Mumbai street rapppers Vivian Fernandes and Naved Shaikh. The film also stars, Kalki Koechlin, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Vijay Raaz in pivotal roles.
