Bollywood celebs urged everyone to 'support an amicable resolution' and not pay attention to anyone 'creating differences' amid the ongoing farmers' protest. Ajay Devgn has urged his massive fan following not to fall for any false propaganda in these trying times. He tweeted, “Don’t fall for any false propaganda against India or Indian policies. It’s important to stand united at this hour w/o any infighting.” Superstar, Akshay Kumar wrote, "Farmers constitute an extremely important part of our country. And the efforts being undertaken to resolve their issues are evident. Let’s support an amicable resolution, rather than paying attention to anyone creating differences. #IndiaTogether #IndiaAgainstPropaganda." [sic] Before Akshay, Suniel Shetty too requested everyone to take a 'comprehensive' view of things.

On the other hand, Karan Johar called farmers the backbone of the country and asked everyone not to let anyone divide them. KJo wrote, “We live in turbulent times and the need of the hour is prudence and patience at every turn. Let us together make every effort we can to find solutions that work for everyone—our farmers are the backbone of India. Let us not let anyone divide us. ”Meanwhile, talking about the ongoing protest, international singer Rihanna has also come out in support of farmers. She shared an article on micro-blogging site Twitter about the protest and wrote, “why aren’t we talking about this?!” He gesture was hailed by several Bollywood celebs including Shruti Seth, Richa Chadha, Swara Bhasker etc.

Teen climate activist Greta Thunberg and US Vice President Kamala Harris' niece are among several people from the international community who have come out in support of the farmers' protest against the Centre's new agriculture laws. India on Wednesday reacted sharply to comments by foreign celebrities and others, including pop singer Rihanna on farmers' protests, saying a very small section of farmers in parts of the country have some reservations about the farm reforms and a proper understanding of the issue is needed before rushing to comment on the agitation.
